Jon Elsen, a former editor at The New York Times and The New York Post, provides strategic counsel and media expertise to clients across a wide range of industries. At The Times, Mr. Elsen served as news editor at NYTimes.com and as media and marketing editor. At The New York Post, he was business editor, deputy business editor, a reporter and a columnist. Under his leadership, The Post’s business section was twice recognized by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers as one of the five best large business sections in the country. He oversaw coverage of all industries, with a focus on technology, financial institutions, retailing, publishing, and real estate. As a reporter and columnist, he wrote about the media and entertainment industries. Mr. Elsen covered mergers and acquisitions for Investment Dealers’ Digest, and served as a reporter at several other newspapers, including The Hartford Courant, The Record, in Hackensack, N.J., and the Journal Inquirer, in Manchester, Ct. Mr. Elsen has a B.A. in history from Columbia University, where he was editor in chief of The Columbia Spectator.
