Rivian Bell is recognized nationally as a communications specialist for companies in transition or crisis. She brings more than twenty years experience in corporate reorganizations beginning with the high-profile Wickes reorganization in 1982. Since joining AMG, she has participated in numerous filings, including Mediq, Finova, Consolidated Freightways, Centis, and J. L. French, and serves the firm as the leading strategist in this practice area. For clients in varied industries she has managed corporate visibility and major repositioning programs; collateral preparation, production and distribution; investor relations; incentive programs and trade show support; employee communications; video production; and executive speeches. A former journalist, Ms. Bell served in production management in the television and film industry on projects ranging from network movies and documentaries to management development films (McGraw-Hill), and IMAX specials. Her interests in public relations and marketing led to Wickes Companies Inc., where she served as Public Relations Director and developed communications programs for divestitures, closings, and acquisitions. She applies the processes that are effective in such crises to other corporate transitions, including senior management changes, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and litigation. Ms. Bell holds a B.A. degree in Comparative Politics from Barnard College, Columbia University, and an M.A. degree in Radio and Television from California State University at San Francisco. She has co-authored five non-fiction books for children. |
