In addition to his duties as president, Adam L. Miller heads The Abernathy MacGregor Group’s media, communications, and entertainment practice and manages many of the firm’s transaction engagements. He has counseled numerous domestic and international clients on a wide array of communications matters, including reputation management, general corporate communications, and investor and public relations. Mr. Miller has also managed the communications associated with many high profile transactions and special situations. These include E*Trade’s sale of its ABS portfolio and an equity stake to Citadel; CVS’ contested merger with Caremark; EMI’s sale to Terra Firma; DoubleClick’s acquisition of Abacus Direct and proposed sale to Google; Tracinda’s proposed acquisition of Chrysler; Comcast’s acquisitions of AT&T Broadband and certain Adelphia systems as well as its proposed merger with The Walt Disney Company; Viacom's acquisition of DreamWorks and merger with CBS; Blockbuster’s proposed acquisition of Hollywood Entertainment; the acquisition of MGM by a Sony-led consortium; RH Donnelley’s acquisition of Dex Media; American Airlines’ acquisition of TWA; Bell Atlantic's merger with NYNEX; Blockbuster’s initial public offering; King World's sale to CBS; MCA’s and PolyGram's sales to Seagram; QVC's proposed acquisition of CBS; Loews Theatres' merger with Cineplex Odeon; and the merger of AMC and Loews Cineplex. Prior to joining AMG in 1994, Mr. Miller worked at Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart in a group specializing in mergers and acquisitions and corporate communications for a variety of industries. Mr. Miller holds a B.A. degree in Philosophy from Hamilton College and has completed the Leadership in Professional Service Firms class at Harvard Business School. He is on the boards of directors of the Children’s Hearing Institute and New Alternatives for Children (NAC). |
