Moira Conlon, based in Los Angeles, provides counsel to clients on investor relations, transactions and crises. She leads a number of the firm’s ongoing investor relations engagements, providing clients with assistance on message development and positioning, earnings announcements, investor and analyst targeting and meetings, and analyst days as well as advice on a wide range of investor relations issues. She has assisted a number of companies on transactions, including initial public offerings, spin-offs and mergers and acquisitions, and crisis situations, including options backdating, activist shareholders, employee lay-offs, management transitions, and litigation. Her clients range from PharMerica to LeapFrog to Vitesse. She is the investor relations contact for Levi Strauss & Co. Prior to joining Abernathy MacGregor in Los Angeles, Ms. Conlon spent 11 years at Financial Relations Board, where she was responsible for directing the agency’s West Coast investor relations practice. In this role, Ms. Conlon was responsible for counseling clients on investor relations issues, positioning and message development, disclosure, investor relations best practices, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and analyst and financial media relations. Previously, she developed the agency’s Los Angeles market intelligence division. She has worked with clients across a broad range of industries and her clients at FRB included PacifiCare, Cisco, Headwaters, East West Bank, Edison International, IndyMac Bank, eFunds, and Newhall Land, among others. Ms. Conlon began her career at Merrill Lynch & Co. as an investment banker. She specialized in financial institutions, assisting banks and thrifts with equity, debt, money market and mortgage finance transactions. Ms. Conlon has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute. |
