Winnie Lerner provides financial public relations, investor relations, and transactions counsel to clients across a broad range of industries, including the retail/consumer and technology sectors. She is a generalist with particular expertise helping international companies build their profiles in the United States and increasing their visibility within the investment community. She manages PR and M&A activities for Pepsi, Estee Lauder, Yahoo!, Tracinda and CEMEX, and has directed efforts relating to Mittal Steel’s merger with Arcelor, Alcatel’s merger with Lucent, and Alcoa’s investment in Rio Tinto. She was recently involved in other high-profile transactions, including Ticketmaster’s merger with Live Nation and Yahoo!’s effort to establish a business relationship with Google. Ms. Lerner has worked with numerous other companies across a wide range of industries, including retail/consumer (Polo Ralph Lauren, Cadbury Schweppes; CVS; Unilever; Levi Strauss); telecommunications (Bell Atlantic/NYNEX and GTE, Verizon, Motient Corporation, Valor Communications); information services leader Thomson-Reuters; transportation companies (UPS, CSX and shipping company OSG); consulting companies (FTI, Hewitt Associates) and industrial companies (American Axle; Visteon; CSN). Ms. Lerner joined AMG in 1996, from the House of Representatives Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance, where she served as a Legislative Assistant on telecommunications and broadcast issues. Previously, she was the director of operations for the Kerry for President campaign in New Hampshire. Ms. Lerner holds a B.A. degree in International Relations from Connecticut College. |
